NJ Maker's Day teaches children STEAM
FREE NJ Makers Day at Neptune Library
On Saturday March 23, STEAMpark, Inc hosted Travel the World with STEAM!, a FREE educational day for families at the Neptune Public Library from 11 am - 3 pm. There will be a scavenger hunt, volcano building, Sushi making, Rangoli Art, a light up Eiffel Tower and a lot more activities. NJ Makers Day is a celebration of maker culture across New Jersey. This all counties, all ages event connects people with libraries, schools, businesses, and independent maker spaces that support making, tinkering, crafting, manufacturing and STEM-based learning.
The First Annual ‘Throwdown for Charity: Oktoberfest’ held at Stumpy’s Hatchet House

RUMSON — Local supporters of STEAMpark, INC, the Monmouth County-based nonprofit that provides educational, emotional, and wellness support to children in underserved communities, gathered at Stumpy’s Hatchet House in Eatontown on Oct. 23 for the first annual Throwdown For Charity: Oktoberfest.
More than 70 guests honed their hatchet-hurling skills and enjoyed delicious food and beer donated by favorite local establishments including Asbury Park Brewery, Local Smoke BBQ (Red Bank); Tommy’s Tavern and Tap (Sea Bright); Sickles, Angelos and Giannis (all in Little Silver), Kitchen Witch (Monmouth Beach), and Val’s Tavern (Rumson). The generous Event Sponsor was Comport Consulting Corporation (Rahway) and Pit Sponsors were Kelly Zaccaro of Sotheby’s Realty; Targeted Talent; Two River Title Company; Cullen Disque Family Foundation; Soul Focus and LG Insurance. All proceeds will support the academically stimulating after-school and summer camp programs that incorporate key principles of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) run by STEAMpark, INC, a 501(c)(3). Zynergy Cares is happy to announce its 2nd annual "Kids Helping Kids" Back to School event. This year Zynergy Cares will be working with STEAMpark to supply 52 Monmouth County children with school supplies in underprivileged areas. STEAMpark, INC. provides education, emotional and wellness support to children in at-risk communities through learning opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Our Mission: To get local children involved in collecting and distributing school supplies to those less fortunate.
